1. Information we collect
Account information: when you sign in, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, login timestamps, session identifiers, and account status.
Product information: we may store prompts, selected models, generation settings, uploaded reference images, image-to-prompt uploads, generated image URLs, task IDs, task status, credit balances, referral activity, favorites, and history needed to operate your workspace.
Payment information: Stripe processes card and payment information. We may store Stripe checkout IDs, payment status, purchased package, credits delivered, account email, and billing-related records needed for support, fraud prevention, accounting, and dispute handling.
Technical and analytics information: we may collect IP-derived region, browser type, device information, page views, clicks, errors, performance data, referral URLs, and session recordings or heatmaps through tools such as Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, keep accounts logged in, preserve prompt drafts, process generation requests, display History, manage credits, process purchases, issue refunds or adjustments, run referral rewards, provide support, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and improve product reliability.
Prompts and images may be sent to AI model providers, image hosting or upload services, and safety-review providers only as needed to provide requested features, detect unsafe content, or comply with provider and payment-platform requirements.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand usage patterns, improve the prompt gallery, evaluate feature performance, and diagnose errors.
3. AI providers and safety checks
Megan AI integrates third-party model and infrastructure providers. These providers may receive prompts, uploaded images, reference images, and generation parameters necessary to complete the request.
We may run automated moderation or NSFW checks on prompts, reference images, and generated outputs. If a prompt or image appears unsafe, explicit, infringing, abusive, or otherwise restricted, we may block the task, remove the output, or restrict the account.
Unless we expressly state otherwise, Megan AI does not use your private account content to train our own foundation model. Third-party providers may have their own processing rules, retention periods, and security practices.
4. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, store UI preferences, preserve prompt drafts, remember local generation history, prevent abuse, and improve the experience.
Analytics tools help us understand which pages and features are used, identify broken flows, and improve onboarding, generation reliability, and pricing pages. You may be able to limit analytics through browser settings or content blockers.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us provide login, hosting, databases, storage, payments, analytics, safety checks, support, email, and AI generation.
We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account history, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, process refunds, and enforce our Terms.
Generated output links, uploaded reference images, and task metadata may be retained for product functionality and support. Some provider-side copies may remain subject to third-party retention policies.
You can contact hello@meiganai.app to request account assistance, data access, correction, deletion, or privacy support. We may need to verify your account before acting on a request.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account and service data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you should not upload sensitive documents, private credentials, or content you are not authorized to share.
